Tom Formanek, born 2/14/51 in Chicago, Illinois, took music lessons on
accordion until family Moved to Lake In The Hills, Algonquin Illinois in
1961. Switched music lessons to alto saxophone and played and sang in
rock bands until 1967. Graduated from DeVry Institute of Technology in
1970 and worked in electronics industry, resumed music career in 1971,
playing organ in rock bands until 1974, with his brother Jim on guitar.
Got married to his wife Alice, coincidentally, in 1974.
Worked career in electronics industry as Technician, Drafter and Printed
Circuit Board Designer for over 40 years, raising two daughters and putting
them both through college.
Began writing original songs in 1997, starting studio band, The Bricktone
Project, recording an eclectic mix of R&B, Pop, Jazz, Blues and reggae.
Had some songs recorded by Hilltop Records of Hollywood, California,
including "What's Not To Like About Me?" sung by actress Carole Ita White.
Placed most of his songs on soundcloud.com for musical exposure on line.
Joined Tunecore to produce The Bricktone Project songs, placing them on
youtube and for sale at on line music stores.
Also recorded original comedy after creating character named Ned Schnozzle,
a banal radio announcer and on the street interviewer, to ullustrate an
ability to do voice impressions.
Now semi-retired, have been seeking movie and TV parts as an extra in the
